Why the name The Almond Tree? Did you consciously make that your narrator as the tree was witness to most of the incidents?

Frankly, I couldn’t have told you why I chose the title The Almond Tree until I was asked what the title meant, why does the almond tree remain mute and if silence is ever an answer to violence. That’s when I realized that I am the almond tree, a witness, and I wrote this book because silence should never be an answer to violence.
