I don’t understand the meaning of the “Wind” in he tittle. Could you help me please? I have an exam about your book and that’s one of the questions. Thank you.
To tell you the truth, the title in English is The Almond Tree. I called it that because I am the almond tree, the witness. I wrote about what I witnessed and learned during the 7 years I lived in Israel. I wrote The Almond Tree because I don’t think one can remain silent in the face of human suffering. When the book was translated to Spanish, the publisher altered the title so I don’t know what the significance of the wind is. Perhaps you should ask the publisher. The Spanish version wasn’t the only translation that altered the title’s name. Thank you for your interest.
